Town & Village Renewal 2017

Applications from towns and villages can range from €20,000 to a maximum of €100,000.  Funding of up to  €200,000 will also be considered for a limited number of projects which can deliver exceptionally strong economic benefits to a town and its outlying areas. Selection of projects under the Scheme will be by means of a competitive process.  Final project selection  will be made by the Department of Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural & Gaeltacht Affairs on the basis of applications submitted by the Local Authorities.

Offaly County Council is seeking Expressions of Interest from town/village groups who may have a suitable  project for consideration under the Scheme. All Expressions of Interest will be assessed based on the priorities as contained in the Scheme Outline. Interested parties are requested to submit an Expression of Interest form (link below) to the Planning Department  Offaly County Council, Aras an Chontae, Charleville Rd., Tullamore no later than 5pm on Monday 19th  June 2017. Due to the limited time available for consideration of Expressions of Interest, it will only be possible to consider comprehensively worked up proposals. However the Town and Village Renewal scheme is a multi-annual one, and the Department of Arts,  Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs has stated that a similar scheme will be available in 2018.  Unsuccessful applications in 2017 may be considered and developed further in 2018.
