 Grants & Awards for Voluntary Groups & Artists in Offaly

Offaly County Council Arts Office offers several different grant programmes: Below is a summary of each grant scheme offered.

Arts Act Grants [OPEN]

This grant is open to voluntary community groups/organisations, artists, town bands, musical and drama groups in Offaly. Competition is high with a high calibre applications being submitted. Applicants wishing to apply should read the application guidelines carefully and complete all sections including a detailed budget. Average grant awarded is €500.00. Festival Arts Grants [CLOSED]

This grant supports art programmes of festivals in Offaly. Past receipients of the grants include: Birr Vintage and Arts Festival, Shakefest Dance Festival, Slievebloom Storytelling Festival, OFFline Film Festival, SCRIPTs Playwriting Festival, Daingean Homecoming Festival etc.Closing date 10th February @ 4pm 2017

FilmOffaly/Filmbase Award [CLOSED]

An annual award which invites applicants to submit short film scripts. The winner of the award receives €8,000.00 towards the production of the film, together with other benefits. The film must be shot on location in Offaly. See for more information and application forms.Closing date 3rd March 2017 @ 3pm 2017

Birr Writers Residency [CLOSED]

Offaly County Council Arts Office provides an annual bursary to Tin Jug Studio to provide a writers residency/retreat in the Georgian heritage town of Birr. The opportunity is for professional writers who are seeking a short break from daily routines; it is for those who feel the need to re-invigorate themselves into completing current work; and it is also fro writers who may simply need inspiration, through a change of place and stimuli.
