Silent Journeys Kinnitty Castle Screening

There will be a special screening of Silent Journeys the documentary chronicling the life and work of silent movies legend Rex Ingram in Kinnitty Castle Friday November 13^th at 7:30pm

Silent Journeys features black and white silent scenes where the audience were brought on a location tour led by director Ciaran Taylor in character as a silent movie director setting up scenes and calling action.

The scenes were filmed around the village earlier this year with a local cast as part of the public art project Secrets of Offaly which seeks to expose remarkable hidden stories and their origins in the county.

Next Friday evening s special screening takes places in the castles drawing room where a number of scenes were actually filmed. To celebrate the success of the project Offaly County Council are releasing a limited edition DVD on the night.
