County Offaly has the huge advantage of being strategically located in the Midlands, right in the centre of Ireland, a Gateway county with modern primary road networks that connect it – east and west, north and south – to all the major cities and towns in Ireland.
Dublin, Cork, Shannon and Galway are all under 90 minutes drive, with excellent roads such as the new N6 motorway, which will pass 3 miles from Tullamore at Kilbeggan, giving easy access to the international airports at Dublin, Cork and Shannon and the major seaports at Dublin, Cork, Rosslare and Waterford. There are multiple connections to the main railway routes.

Offaly has a tremendous choice of quality locations with a mix of serviced sites, modern buildings and offices available. One of the flagship projects developed in partnership with local development agencies is the IDA Business and Technology Park in Srah. Offaly also offers an array of 'serviced sites' in West and North Offaly that are construction ready!
Offaly has concentrated on meeting future population and business demands by investing in a quality water supply and upgrading our waste water treatment. Offaly' s County Town Tullamore is on the main national fibre grid for Broadband. The town is serviced by the national carrier services of Eircom and locally by IT firms supplying wireless broadband. Tullamore also boasts its own Metropolitan Area Network covering the town, business parks, industrial areas, serviced with fibre by national and international carriers. Under Phase 2 of the Regional Broadband Programme the towns of Edenderry, Birr and Banagher will receive MAN.
