The Community, Enterprise & Economic Development section promotes economic, social, and cultural wellbeing in Offaly. Through a community orientated approach, resources here co-ordinate actions of Offaly County Council, and oversee the projects of the Offaly County Development Board to promote the quality of life of all who reside in the county, whether this is through job creation, social inclusion, promotion of cultural activities or other activities.
Work undertaken here is through inter-agency initiatives such as the Economic Development Sub-Committee (of the OCDB); the Education and Skills Sub Group; the Tourism Interagency Group, the Social Inclusion Working Group or the Traveller Interagency Group.
