Offaly Community Forum (OCF) was established in 2000 with the role of improving networking and information sharing between community and voluntary groups, and giving the sector a voice in relation to policy development. It has 350 +member groups representing a wide range of interests. The Forum has been active in a range of areas including networking, information sharing, training, and policy development
The Management Committee of 14 members is elected as follows:
- 8 Area Fora Members - Each Area Forum elects 2 Members
- 4 Offaly Community Forum – The full membership elects 2 members from General Groups that work on a county basis and 2 from groups that work on a countywide basis and have self identified as being from the Social Inclusion Pillar.
- 2 The Representatives Sub Committee elects 2 members.
The Management Committee elects its Officers and is supported in its work by the Community Forum Support Worker. The Support Worker will attend Management Committee meetings in a secretarial capacity.
