Offaly CountyCouncil established the position of Economic and Development Officer to facilitate economic development and enterprise creation in Offaly and to co-ordinate and promote tourism development within the County. This Officer also facilitates inter-departmental pre-planning meetings with potential developers to assist in guiding projects through the planning system. There is a positive presumption towards developments of an industrial, commercial, tourism and retail nature which have the capacity to generate employment.
Offaly County Council will continue to work with all of the State and Semi-State Agencies and the private sector to create and support employment created in County Offaly. It is always available to have discussions in regard to any project which will achieve these aims.
