Brown Bin Information
31st August 2010: Under the Waste Bye-Laws, all householders in the designated areas - Tullamore, Mucklagh and Birr - are required to separate the organic fraction of their waste. If you have a waste collector, a brown bin will be delivered to your door shortly. If you do not use a waste collector and bring your waste to Derryclure landfill instead, there will be brown bins available for your organic waste at the landfill

It should be noted that under the European Communities (Good Agricultural Practice for Protection of Waters) Regulations 2006, the application of fertilisers to land is STRICTLY PROHIBITED as below:

This is a legal requirement, which for non-compliance a person shall be guilty of an offence and liable to a fine of up to €3,000.
