Pay-by-weight at Derryclure Waste & Recycling Facility from 3rd October 2011
For all customers who currently deposit their waste at Derryclure landfill.
As and from the 3rd October 2011, a pay-by-weight system will be in place for
all waste entering the site at the weighbridge and will be charged based on the
weight of waste deposited, as set out below:
Item Charge
Net weight less than 50 kg €8.20 plus 13.5% VAT (Min. charge)
Net weight greater than 51kg €0.205 per kg plus 13.5% VAT
Green waste will continue to be accepted at the site at the
current rate of €127.75 per tonne plus VAT.
Cash and all major credit/debit cards will be accepted for payment.
Landfill tickets will no longer be sold at the usual outlets after
the 3rd Oct. however all tickets in circulation will be honoured.
There will be no change to the existing operation of the Recycling Centre
The facility at Derryclure will continue to provide a one-stopshop,
accepting general waste, food and garden waste, and a very wide
range of recyclables - Please visit our website www.offaly.ie to view all the waste streams that can be recycled at the site.
