Under the Waste Bye-Laws, all householders in the designated areas - Tullamore, Mucklagh and Birr - are required to separate the organic fraction of their waste. This means that food waste, both cooked and uncooked, as well as garden waste must not be put into your normal refuse waste bin - it must be sent for an alternative method of waste management such as composting. If you have a waste collector, a brown bin will be delivered to your door shortly. If you do not use a waste collector and bring your waste to Derryclure landfill instead, there will be brown bins available for your organic waste at the landfill - please ensure waste is separated prior to delivery.
