The Library Service provides public access to a comprehensive range of materials for information, study and recreation. We currently hold over 200,000 items including books, computer software, media, images, newspapers, maps, periodicals and archive materials.
Lending Services
Offaly County Library offers more than just books as part of our lending service. The library stock includes books for adults, teens and children, titles in large print, and a wide range of media including computer software, talking books, videos, CDs and DVDs.
Special Requests
Members may request specific items not in stock or on waiting lists. The following charges will be incurred on receipt of them:

Computers and Internet Access
All of the libraries in Offaly have broadband Internet access. You must sign up to be a member of the library to use a computer. The following charges apply:

Local Studies Collection
All libraries in Offaly have a number of books of local interest in their local studies collections. There is a larger collection of local studies materials available in Library Headquarters in Tullamore. This includes archival material, microfilm, images, printed books and newspapers.
