Karin Leitner was born in Vienna but believes her spiritual home is Ireland in particuliar Offaly. Karin has lived in Birr for several years and she draws inspiration from the people and landscape of Offaly. Seamagic began it’s journey in Birr. Karin enjoyed the various walks through Birr Castle and background sound of the river Camcor. This sound has followed Karin around the world and she composed and developed her album Seamagic. The CD launch in Birr was a great success. Offaly County Library are proud to support and promote Karin and wish her every success in the future.
Seamagic tells the story of gentle lapping of the waves, a siren luring you into the depths, faraway dolphins, the dark depth of the deep sea with unknown secrets, the playing of the waters when the evening tide comes in, sounds of an Irish Harbour, an ancient port to be rediscovered, mythical figures appearing and leaving you inspired, balancing of the inner waters of the body, gentle sparks of morning dew to be born on a spring morning, powerful waves breaking against a rock of a lighthouse, an ancient celtic lough mirroring the blue of the sky in the waters and opening up your desires.
