We would like to invite our customers, members of the public and interested groups to give their views on the future direction of the Library Service in County Offaly.

As part of this process, the Library is holding public meetings at four venues throughout the County. You are invited to come along and give us your suggestions and feedback.

This is your opportunity to let us know what you want from your library service. The Development Plan will cover a number of key areas including the following:
- Library Buildings: Facilities, Accessibility, and Capacity.
- Library Technology: Software, Hardware, Internet / Online Services, Accessible Technology
- Library Collections and formats: Books, CDs, DVDs and Reference Materials
- Libraries as community and spaces
- Libraries as centres of culture and learning
- Children's Services: Books and other materials, Reader Development, Activities, and Teen Space
- Local Studies
- Library Website: Online Services www.offalylibrary.ie
- Multicultural Services: Language Courses, Books in Foreign Languages
- Staff and Opening Hours, Membership Fees, Fines and Other Charges
