 'The Great Famine and the Edenderry workhouse'

This exhibition, compiled by Edenderry Historical Society, highlights the effects of the Great Famine in the Edenderry area and life in the workhouse throughout the 19th century.
 

‘Edenderry then and now’

A collection of photographs old and new depicting Edenderry.  Many of the old photographs are from The Lawrence Collection and date back as far as 1890.
  

‘The Irish Times 1859-2009’

This exhibition celebrates 150 years of the Irish Times this year.  It compiles an eclectic mix of articles, from the original editorial on 29th March 1859 explaining its existence, to articles relating to Edenderry in the late 1800’s and a wide range of articles of national and international interest up to the present day.  The Irish Times Archives are available free of charge in the library.
  

‘President Mary Robinson visits Edenderry 1994’

A video showing President Mary Robinson’s visit to Edenderry in 1994 will be shown in the library periodically during the week.
