Can I exchange my full Foreign Driving Licence for a full Irish Driving Licence?

A person living in Ireland for more than 185 days of the year can have their current full Foreign Driving Licence exchanged for a Full Irish Driving Licence, if that licence was originally issued in any of the approved countries (see question below).

You need to submit :

1. Full Foreign Driving Licence.
2. Full Driving Licence Application Form.
3. Exchange of Driving Licence Application Form.
4. 2 identical passport sized photographs signed on the reverse side.
5. Fee: €15 for 3 years. €25 for ten years.
6. A Medical Report may be necessary only in the case whereby you are applying for a commercial category (C, C1, D, D1, EC, EC1, ED, ED1) OR if the applicant has a medical condition.
