The user can expect to receive a water pressure of 12-15 metres at the stop tap outside your property. Pressure can vary during the day depending on the demand for water. When demand is high e.g. in the mornings and early evenings, pressure can be lower than during the rest of the day.
Pressure can be affected by many things including:
- the height of the property above the water main and its height relative to the reservoir
- the condition of the pipe supplying a property and the plumbing inside it
- the shared use of a service pipe with another property
- heavy demand upon the network at certain times
- the number of water appliances used at the same time in a dwelling or
- essential maintenance work.
