PROPOSED AMENDMENTS OF DRAFT BIRR TOWN AND ENVIRONS DEVELOPMENT PLAN 2010 - 2016
Notice is hereby given that Birr Town Council and Offaly County Council being the Planning Authorities for the town of Birr and its Environs have agreed proposed amendments to the Draft Development Plan for the period 2010 - 2016.
A copy of the proposed amendments of the Birr Town and Environs Draft Development Plan 2010 - 2016 may be inspected at the following locations and times:
1. Áras an Chontae, Charleville Road, Tullamore from 9.30am to 4.00pm (Monday – Friday) (excluding public holidays).
2. Birr Civic Offices, Wilmer Road, Birr from 9.30am to 4.00pm (Monday – Friday) (excluding public holidays).
3. The Birr Public Library, Birr Civic Offices, Wilmer Road during the library opening hours.
The amendments may be inspected at the above locations & times for a period of 4 weeks from 5th November, 2009 to 4th December, 2009 or may be viewed below
In addition, in accordance with Section 13(G) of the Planning and Development (Strategic Environmental Assessment) Regulations 2004 (S.I. No. 436 of 2004), information on the likely significant effects on the environment of implementing the proposed amendments is also available for inspection in the form of an addendum to the environmental report (prepared as part of the review of the draft Development Plan for Birr & Environs 2010 - 2016).
This addendum includes:
- Updates to the environmental report which have arisen from submissions received in response to the public display of the draft plan.
- Updates which will be made to the environmental report if the proposed amendments are made.
This addendum is also available to view with the proposed amendments to the Birr Town and Environs Draft Development Plan 2010 – 2016.
Written submissions or observations with respect to the proposed amendments of the Draft Plan and the environmental report, may be made in writing to the Town Clerk, Birr Town Council, Birr Civic Offices, Wilmer Road, Birr, Co. Offaly or by emailing birrdevplan@offalycoco.ie during the period from 5th November, 2009 to 4th December, 2009 (both dates inclusive) and these will be taken into consideration before the making of the amendments.
Please make your submission by one medium only i.e. in hard copy or email. This will avoid the duplication of submission reference numbers and will streamline the process. Your assistance on this issue is appreciated. All submissions to be clearly marked “Draft Birr Town and Environs Development Plan” and should state the name of the person making the submission/observation and where relevant the organisation represented.
