Expressions of Interest Sought for Leasing Arrangements for Housing Units In Birr Town
Birr Town Council hereby invites property owners to consider leasing their properties to the council under the Social Housing Leasing Initiative. The Council is seeking to lease good quality new and second-hand properties in all areas where there is a housing need.
General principles underlying this initiative: -
- Property owners will retain landlord responsiblities, including maintenance of the properties.
- Rent discount from market will apply..
- The Council will pay the agreed lease amount monthly in advance and collect rent from the tenant on a weekly basis.
- Dwellings must have a Building Energy Rating (BER) certificate and must meet current Building Regulations.
- Property owners must have a Tax Clearance Certificate.
- Tenancies must be registered with the Private Rented Tenancies Board
Expressions of Interest, giving address, details and description of property should be submitted, using the “Submission Template for Property Owners” form, to the Housing Section, Birr Town Council, Civic Offices, Birr email - birrtc@offalycoco.ie.
