Following discussions with the Irish and American authorities, we are pleased to announce the visit of President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama to Moneygall. This is a local stop and access to the village on Monday, 23rd May 2011 will be extremely limited.

Due to limited space in the village it has been agreed that tickets will be made available to the people of the Moneygall parish and restricted civic list only.

The following arrangements will apply: Tickets will only be made available on Thursday, 19th May 2011 at the Old Church of Ireland Schoolhouse, Moneygall.

To minimize waiting time residents of Moneygall village are requested to collect their tickets from 10am to 12noon and people from the wider parish should attend from 1pm to 4pm.

Photo identification i.e., driving licence or passport, must be produced when collecting tickets. Garda vetting forms must be completed before receiving a ticket. Admittance on the day will be subject to Garda clearance.

Tickets are non transferable. Tickets can be collected for partners/spouses and children subject to providing identification i.e., driving licence or passport, for all adults and the completion of a vetting form for each person.

Please note that it is anticipated that ticket holders may have to stand in Moneygall on Monday 23rd for a lengthy period and that there will be no catering facilities provided.

Media access to Moneygall on Monday May 23rd will be restricted to pooled press only. No other requests will be entertained.
