The Government has agreed that Level 5 as set out in the Plan for Living with COVID-19 will apply nationally until April 5th 2021. The Government has clearly stated that there is an absolute need to minimise the level of mobility and congregation of people in order to reduce all opportunities for transmission of the virus.

Consequently, and in line with current public health guidance, the Offices of Offaly County Council are closed for walk-in services to support this reduced mobility policy.

Public access cannot be facilitated during LEVEL 5 restrictions. Therefore, Offaly County Council services will be available by telephone, email, online post and only where absolutely necessary and in exceptional circumstances by appointment. Please read latest information.

Offaly County Council Opening Hours from Monday 10th August

Offaly County Council wishes to advise that the following Public Offices remain open from 9.30 am to 1.00 pm Monday to Friday subject to change.

  • Birr Municipal District Offices
  • Tullamore Municipal District Offices
  • Edenderry Municipal District Offices

Customers visiting our buildings are requested to wear face coverings, which are mandatory from Monday 10th August.

Counter services for Planning, Roads, Local Enterprise Office, Community & Culture, Corporate Services, Water Services and Environment will be available by APPOINTMENT MADE IN ADVANCE ONLY. For an appointment please contact Offaly County Council on 057 93 46800. Phone service available Monday – Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

At Áras an Chontae Tullamore, a queue management system will be in place to ensure social distancing protocols are maintained during opening hours. A MAXIMUM NUMBER of members of the public will be allowed access the building at any one time. It is requested that only adults attend public counter. Members of the public are requested to restrict their visit to A MINIMUM time duration. Where possible card payments should be used.

 

Offaly Libraries are currently providing a mix of Browse By Appointment and Contact and Collect Services. Patrons should contact branches directly for arrangements or visit www.offaly.ie/libraries
