Exhibition - Close to Home bu Dr. John D Byrne

Birr Theatre & Arts Centre

On show August

Info: Recent Paintings of Places and People In and Around Birr By Dr John D. Byrne - John Byrne’s work reflects his delight at returning to his country roots. His childhood was spent among the drumlins and “stoney grey soil” of Monaghan and the herds and horses are no strangers. However, the big skies and broad horizons around Birr are a novelty and have provided fresh inspiration. An accidental Dubliner for most of his adult life, he finds fascination in the sedate malls, the quiet corners and individualistic shop-fronts of our unique town. Cost: Free
