Launch of Exhibition Stripes and Strokes

Info: An exhibition of animal portraiture. Two styles, two starting points, two perspectives presented by local artists Regina Bracken and Deirdre Dunne. Regina Nraken’s series of Zebra portraits with origami installations, she describes how “migrations of animals mirror the crisis we are facing with immigrants”. For Deirdre Dunne’s mixed media series of animal and people portraits she plays with contrast and contexts, offsetting the fine , tonal detail of the subject matter with vibrant floral backgrounds, using decoupage paper and paint.

Fri 6 July – 6.30pm Gig Rig in Edenderry Town Square staring The Four Twenties, Street Theatre and Rualie Bualie.

Sat 7 July – Family entertainment from 2-5pm around the town.Plus a visual arts trail. Gig rig starts at 7.30pm starring The Filthy Casuals. There is a Festival Dance from 10pm till late at Larkins Marquee.

Sun 8 July – 2pm Live music from the Gig Rig – 5pm Pennyroal Tea Live from gig rig.
