This grant is open to voluntary community groups/organisations, artists, town bands, musical and drama groups in Offaly. Competition is high with a high calibre applications being submitted. Applicants wishing to apply should read the application guidelines carefully and complete all sections including a detailed budget. Average grant awarded is €500.00. Due to Covid 19 restrictions our the Atrium is currently closed. The Atrium at Áras an Chontae offers a contemporary space suitable for exhibition of work appropriate to the design and scale of the space. Professional artists, voluntary arts organisations, schools and the community are invited to exhibit in the Atrium. There is limited time available and not all applicants will be successful. An annual award which invites applicants to submit short film scripts. The winner of the award receives €10,000.00 towards the production of the film, together with other benefits. The film must be shot on location in Offaly. See www.filmoffaly.ie for more information and application forms. This scheme is under review for 2021
Offaly County Council Arts Office provides an annual bursary to Tin Jug Studio to provide a writers residency/retreat in the Georgian heritage town of Birr. The opportunity is for professional writers who are seeking a short break from daily routines; it is for those who feel the need to re-invigorate themselves into completing current work; and it is also for writers who may simply need inspiration, through a change of place and stimuli.
