 Grants & Awards for Voluntary Community Groups, Festivals & Artists in Offaly

Offaly County Council Arts Office offers several different grant programmes and schemes: Below is a summary of each offered.

Professional Artists Support Scheme  [NOW CLOSED]

Designed to assist artists living in or from Offaly. This is an online application. Guidelines available on our Professional Artists Support Page;

Arts Act Grants  [NOW CLOSED]

This grant is open to voluntary community groups/organisations, artists, town bands, musical and drama groups in Offaly. Competition is high with a high calibre applications being submitted. This is an ONLINE APPLICATION, applicants wishing to apply should read the guidelines carefully. Average grant awarded is €500.00. Guidelines can be downloaded by visiting our Arts Act Grant Page.

Festival Arts Grants [OPENS MONDAY 21 NOVEMBER 2022 AT 10AM]

Exhibitions @The Atrium[CLOSED]

Due to Covid 19 restrictions our the Atrium is currently closed. The Atrium at Áras an Chontae offers a contemporary space suitable for exhibition of work appropriate to the design and scale of the space. Professional artists, voluntary arts organisations, schools and the community are invited to exhibit in the Atrium. There is limited time available and not all applicants will be successful. FilmOffaly Award [NOW OPEN] 

An annual award which invites applicants to submit short film scripts. The winner of the award receives €10,000.00 towards the production of the film, together with other benefits. The film must be shot on location in Offaly. See www.filmoffaly.ie for more information and application forms. 

Birr Writers Residency [NOW CLOSED]

Offaly County Council Arts Office provides an annual bursary to Tin Jug Studio to provide a writers residency/retreat in the Georgian heritage town of Birr. The opportunity is for professional writers who are seeking a short break from daily routines; it is for those who feel the need to re-invigorate themselves into completing current work; and it is also for writers who may simply need inspiration, through a change of place and stimuli.
