Offaly Local Community Development Committee (LCDC) invite applications for funding under the 2nd Covid-19 Emergency Fund 2020.
The 2nd COVID-19 Emergency Fund is funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development. Offaly has been allocated €48,694 which will be managed through Offaly LCDC and administered by the Community and Culture Section of Offaly County Council.
Strand 1 – Small Scale Measures: will be available to fund small capital projects with a minimum grant of €500 and a maximum grant of €1,000.
Strand 2 – Medium Scale Measures: will be available to fund medium scale capital projects with a minimum grant of €1,001 and a maximum grant of €10,000.
The 2nd Covid 19 Emergency Fund offers funding to community groups to assist to:
1) adapt their services and operations to fit the new COVID-19 reality. Examples of measures supported could be adapting premises to allow for social distancing; offering on-line activities; providing social supports and friendly calls by phone etc.
2) become more involved in the Government’s ‘Keep Well’ Campaign The grants are aimed at assisting participation in the campaign, in particular with the three themes: staying connected, switching off and being creative, and minding your mood. 3) The grants may also be provided to support groups (including those involved in the Community Call) with day to day running costs if needed.
