Offaly County Council is pleased to announce the launch of the  Offaly County Council Volunteer Group Awards 2022 to acknowledge the contribution of volunteers in response to the pandemic. 

The event, scheduled to take place during National Volunteering Week, is one of many regional events being run nationally and funded by the Department of Rural & Community Development to acknowledge the outstanding community efforts that Volunteers have delivered in response to the pandemic in County Offaly.

Our online portal is open for applications at https://submit.link/RY  and will remain open until the May 4th 2022 at 4pm

The Awards Ceremony will take place in Tullamore on Thursday 19th of May 2022 and will feature an opening address by Offaly County Council Cathaoirleach, Councillor Declan Harvey, followed by the Chief Executive, Anna Marie Delaney.

Representatives of Finalist groups will be invited to attend the awards event where Winners will be awarded €500 and Runners Up €250 across 5 categories.

A virtual address from Minister of State in the Department of Rural and Community Development, Joe O’ Brien TD, will be live-streamed from Dublin Castle during the ceremony.

We are now inviting nominations in the following Categories.

  1. Older People.
  2. Youth.
  3. Minority Groups.
  4. People with Disabilities.
  5. Other.
