Green Schools Awards Ceremony 2019

Congratulations to 18 Offaly Schools who were awarded their Green Flag at an awards ceremony in the Hodson Bay Hotel, Athlone on 21st May 2019.

Schools, both pupils and teachers have worked so hard at caring for their environment and this Flag highlights to their local community how much they work. Well done everyone!

Jack O'Neill from Colaiste Isogain, Portarlington is pictured below speaking at the Green Schools Awards in Athlone. Jack is part of the Green Schools Committee in Colaiste Isogain receiving their flag for Biodiversity. He is a Climate Change Ambassador with An Taisce and is a leader in encouraging his peers and community in taking action against climate change. He is an inspiration for everyone. Well done Jack!
