Minister Eamon Ryan T.D. signs Regulations to Extend Smoky Coal Ban to a further 13 towns across the country.
Tullamore and surrounding townlands will be included in the Smoky Coal Ban from 1st September 2020 under the Air Pollution Act or “Smoky Coal” Regulations 2012.
It will be an offence to market, sell, distribute or burn any bituminous coal within the Low Smoke Zone of Tullamore.
