Offaly County Council wishes to advise that the following Public Offices will re- open public counters on Thursday 5th August 2021 from 9.30 am to 1.00 pm Monday to Friday:

Tullamore Tullamore Municipal District Offices

The Public Offices listed below will open as follows:

** Edenderry Municipal District Offices (Tuesday-Thursday each week from 9.30 am to 1.00 pm only)

** Birr Municipal District Offices (Tuesday-Thursday each week from 9.30 am to 1pm only)

At Áras an Chontae, Tullamore, counter services for Planning, Roads, the Local Enterprise Office, Community & Culture, Corporate Services, Water Services and Environment will be available by APPOINTMENT MADE IN ADVANCE only.

National Revaluation Programme Update

On March 3rd 2017, the Valuation Office issued proposed Valuation Certificates to all ratepayers in the Offaly Local Authority area.   The Valuation Office engaged with ratepayers in a consultative phase involving, walk-in clinics and a representational process, which closed on April 11th 2017. The new valuations have been formally published on 15th of September 2017 and come into effect for rating purposes from 1st January 2018.

The Valuation Office have sent Ratepayers a copy of their valuation Certificate in the post. These final valuations can still be appealed to the Valuation Tribunal (an independent body) within 28 days of September 15 (Publication date). The closing date for appeals to the Tribunal is October 13th 2017.

Offaly County council will facilitate walk in clinics with the Valuation Office to discuss issues arising with valuation certificates. These will be held In Áras an Chontae, Charleville Road, Tullamore, Co Offaly On Tuesday September 26th from 10.00 am to 4.30pm And Wednesday September 27th from 10.00 am to 4.30 pm.
