Ferbane Fire Station
Ferbane Station is equipped with 1 class B Fire Appliance which carries a large selection of equipment that allows the crew to resolve most types of incident that they are called to deal with. The Ferbane crew consists of 1 Station Officer 1 Sub-Officer, Driver-Mechanic and 5 fire fighters. All Personnel are active in maintaining the station and equipment to a high standard required to provide a rapid response when the call comes in.

Ferbane Fire Brigade attended 51 calls in 2016.

These calls consisted of Chimneys fires, house fires, Road traffic accidents, flooding, special services etc

Weekly training drill takes place on Monday nights nights from 18:30 to 20:30. The fire fighters carry out training on all aspects of the service, including; Fire Fighting, Breathing Apparatus training, First Aid and Road Traffic Collision Procedures.

Offaly County Council have received approval and funding from the Department of Environment to provide a new Fire Station in Ferbane and this project is currently in negotiation stages.
