Proposed Part 8 development at Raheen, Clara, County Offaly.

Offaly County Council proposes to carry out development at Raheen, Clara, Co. Offaly.

The development will consist of:

The construction of 38 no. dwellings, (6 no. 1-bed single storey, 2 no. 2-bed bungalows, 12 no. 2-bed two storey terrace units, 1 no. 3-bed bungalow, 14 no. 3-bed two storey semi-detached units, 1 no. 4-bed bungalow and 2 no. 4-bed two storey semi-detached units) along with all associated site development works and the provision of 2 no. controlled pedestrian crossings to the R420, the realignment of the junction of the L20157 Local Road with the R420 Regional Road and the provision of a new footpath to the R420 & L2017.

Plans and particulars of the proposed development will be available for inspection or purchase at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy during office hours at the offices of the Planning Section, Offaly County Council, Áras an Chontae, Charleville Road, Tullamore, County Offaly, R35 F893 for a period of 4 (four) weeks, beginning on Wednesday 27^th January 2021.

Submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the development would be situated, may be made in writing to The Director of Services, Housing Section, Offaly County Council, Áras an Chontae, Charleville Road, Tullamore, County Offaly, R35 F893 for a period of 6 (six) weeks, beginning on Wednesday 27^th January 2021.

Please note in the event of the offices above remaining closed to the public due to the ongoing Covid 19 restrictions the plans and particulars of the proposed development will be available for inspection or purchase by appointment with the Housing Department, Offaly County Council, Aras an Chontae, Tullamore, Co. Any person may, within 4 weeks beginning on Wednesday 27^th January 2021, apply to An Bord Pleanála for a screening determination as to whether the development would be likely to have significant effects on the environment.

Closing date for submissions or observations is Thursday 11^th March 2021 at 12.00 p.m.
