Clara Library has received the first Age Friendly Charter in Offaly
On October last in Kevin Street Library, Dublin, Minister Michael Ring, Department of Rural and Community Development officially launched the National Age Friendly Libraries Recognition Programme and presented all 48 participating libraries with their Age Friendly Charter. Clara library received the first Age Friendly Charter in Offaly, the staff in Clara branch having received training in age friendly principles. County Librarian, Eimear McGinn, accepted the charter on behalf of Clara Library from Minister Ring. Offaly libraries are looking forward to seeing other branches in the county progressing on this initiative in the near future.
