Offaly Libraries 2022 School STEAM Programme

Offaly Libraries are delighted to announce an exciting array of school events as part of Offaly Libraries School STEAM programme 2022, kindly co-funded by the Dormant Accounts Fund. The acronym S.T.E.A.M stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics. This school term, Offaly Libraries will celebrate three national STEAM weeks:

• Space Week, October 3^rd – 10^th
• Maths Week, October 15^th – 23^rd
• Science Week, November 10^th – 20^th

There will be a mixture of fascinating workshops, shows and class activities on offer for schools during Space Week and Science Week both physically in our libraries and in a virtual setting.

For Math’s Week, we invite every Primary School in Offaly to sign up for a free subscription (until March 31st 2023) to Times Tables Rock Stars and participate in the Ireland Rocks challenge during Math’s Week, Monday 17^th October – Wednesday 19^th October. 

The top twenty performing schools from Offaly will receive an additional 6 months of Times Tables Rock Stars. For more information on Offaly Libraries 2022 School STEAM programme, please view our brochure here.
