Offaly In accordance with Part 8 of the Local Government (Planning & Development) Regulations 2001 (as amended), Offaly County Council hereby gives notice of proposals to construction a new fully equipped Fire Service Training & Development Centre. For a period of 4 (four) weeks, beginning on 28th April, 2022, plans and particulars of the proposed development will be available for inspection and/or purchase at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy during office hours at the offices of Tullamore Municipal District, Acres Hall, Tullamore, Co.   • Grand Canal Greenway Walking and Cycling Route

    In accordance with Part 8 of the Planning & Development Regulations 2001 – 2007 Offaly County Council hereby gives notice of proposals to construct a 2m wide footpath along the towpath of the Grand Canal and shared vehicular and cycling route on the carriageway of Convent View for a distance of 315m. The route of the shared facility is from the eastern end of Convent View, Tullamore to Kilbeggan Bridge, Tullamore.

  • Notice of advertising of Part 8 for development - Grand Canal Greenway Shared Walking and Cycling Route

    Pursuant to the requirements of Part 8 of the Local Government (Planning and Development) Regulations 2001 (as amended), notice is hereby given that Offaly County Council propose to construct a shared walking and cycling greenway route along the towpath of the Grand Canal for a distance of 5.5km. The route of the proposed shared greenway is from Henesy's Bridge in the townland of Goldsmithslot, Rahan, to Plunketts Brudge, Pollagh. The route tracks the northern towpath. The proposal represents a re-routing of the existing Grand Canal Greenway / Shared Cycling Route from the public road on the southern side of the Grand Canal to the northern towpath, which would provide a more 'off road' Greenway.

    Offaly County Council has put Part 8 Documentation on Public Display for the Greenway Link from Turraun (junction with Offaly Way), to Griffith Bridge, Shannon Harbour. The route tracks the southern towpath all the way to Griffith Bridge, Shannon Harbour.
