The Public Offices listed below will open as follows:

** Edenderry Municipal District Offices (Tuesday-Thursday each week from 9.30 am to 1.00 pm only)

** Birr Municipal District Offices (Tuesday-Thursday each week from 9.30 am to 1pm only)

At Áras an Chontae, Tullamore, counter services for Planning, Roads, the Local Enterprise Office, Community & Culture, Corporate Services, Water Services and Environment will be available by APPOINTMENT MADE IN ADVANCE only.

Part 8 : Mountbolus Town and Village Renewal (TVR) 2019 & 2020

The Town and Village Renewal Scheme was introduced in 2016 and is one of a series of national and local support measures designed to rejuvenate rural towns and villages throughout Ireland under the Department of Rural & Community Development’s “Rural Development Investment Programme. The programme is funded under Project Ireland 2040.

 

In accordance with the Planning Development Act 2000 (As amended) and Part 8 of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 (As amended) Offaly County Council has to inform and consult the public, relevant authorities and the elected members of the planning authority of the proposed Town and Village Renewal (TVR) works.

 

Offaly County Council has prepared an EIA Screening Report in accordance with the requirements of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 (as amended). On the basis of this Screening Report, Offaly County Council has completed EIA screening and has determined that there is no likelihood of significant effects on the environment. (Article 120 of Planning and Development Regulations, amended 2018) Accordingly, it has been determined that EIA is not required in respect of this proposed development. Any person may, within 4 weeks beginning on Friday 6th November 2020, apply to An Bord Pleanála for a screening determination as to whether the development would be likely to have significant effects on the environment.

 

Plans and particulars of the proposed Mountbolus Town and Village Renewal Scheme are available for inspection and / or purchase during public opening hours at the offices of Offaly County Council, Áras an Chontae, Charleville Road, Tullamore, County Offaly, the offices of Tullamore Town Council, Acres Hall, Tullamore, County Offaly, for a period of four weeks ending 4thDecember 2020.

 

Submissions or observations in respect of the proposed development dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the development is situated, may be made in writing to Mr. Tom Shanahan, Director of Services, Offaly County Council, Áras an Chontae, Charleville Road, Tullamore, County Offaly before 12.00 noon on 18th December 2020.

 

Please note in the event of the offices above remaining closed to the public due to the ongoing Covid-19 restrictions the plans and particulars of the proposed development will be available for inspection or purchase by appointment with the Tullamore Town Council, Acres Hall, Tullamore, County Offaly.
