The Public Offices listed below will open as follows:

** Edenderry Municipal District Offices (Tuesday-Thursday each week from 9.30 am to 1.00 pm only)

** Birr Municipal District Offices (Tuesday-Thursday each week from 9.30 am to 1pm only)

At Áras an Chontae, Tullamore, counter services for Planning, Roads, the Local Enterprise Office, Community & Culture, Corporate Services, Water Services and Environment will be available by APPOINTMENT MADE IN ADVANCE only.

  • Edenderry Municipal District – A review of 2020

    2020 was a very challenging year for everyone. Despite the difficulties associated with the Pandemic and Covid 19 Restrictions, the staff of Edenderry Municipal District continued to work behind the scenes to ensure that essential services and the 2020 planned work programme for the District was delivered. At the December Municipal District Meeting, the District Staff, in the presence of the Chief Executive Anna Marie Delaney, presented a review of achievements to the Cathaoirleach, Cllr John Foley and Elected Members.

  • Canopy Installation Press Release December 17th 2020

    Edenderry Municipal District is delighted to announce the installation of a multipurpose sheltered space on the recently refurbished public realm at O’Connell Square in Edenderry. The canopies, which are weather proof and equipped with lighting, are a further welcome addition to the Square, providing a focal point for community events.

  • 2021 EMD Community Grant Scheme

    As part of Edenderry Municipals District’s commitment to supporting communities, the former General Municipal District Allocation Fund has been revised and is now called the General Municipal District Community Support Scheme. What is the purpose of the Community Support Scheme? The purpose of the Scheme is to encourage and support individuals, community and voluntary groups to take an active part in the development of their communities and to improve the quality of life experience in their areas.
