The Colour Carnival
The Colour Carnival 4th and 5th June in O’Connor Square, Tullamore
The Colour Carnival, kicked off the first in this year’s series of Tullamore Municipal District Local Live Performance Programme. Taking place in O’Connor Square on the 4th and 5th June, the programme for the weekend was jam-packed with carnival-themed treats. Breathing colour and life into the heart of the town with a large performance stage located at O’Connor Square, people experienced a street spectacle of colour, art, entertainment and culture installation.
The Colour Carnival is essentially a festival celebrating the return of live music, theatre, comedy and the arts, featuring the very best of national and local artists. The headline shows include acrobatics, juggling, clowning, graffiti arts demos, music performances and much, much more! Acts include Ireland’s Showman extraordinaire Jerry Fish who brought his larger than life stage presence to the town and performances from Tumble Circus Acrobats who achieve near impossible feats of gravity!
This event is funded by the Local Live Performance Programming Scheme Phase 3, Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media and supported by Offaly County Council, Tullamore and District Chamber of Commerce and in association with Aidan Shortall of Up Close & Personal Promotions.
