The Council gives notice of its DECISION to temporarily close the abovementioned road in
accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 (S.I 197 of 1993) and Part 8 of the Roads
Regulations 1994.
A section of this road shall be closed between The Sweep crossroads and the nearest tee-junction
in the townland of Cloonaloughan for a number of weeks, from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday, commencing Monday 4th September 2023.
This road closure is necessary to facilitate drinking water mains improvement works.
Local traffic diversions will be in place, and a map of the proposed road closure can be viewed below,
