Ask the Librarian

Ask The Librarian by Offaly Libraries

Offaly Libraries has an email service called “Ask the Librarian”. You can use it to make queries via e-mail about your library account, help with accessing our online resources, our services and signposts to other useful resources online, in the local community and further afield.

This special service has the e-mail address askthelibrarian@offalycoco.ie.

E-mail your question to this address and a member of our library staff will endeavour to find the answer, drawing on the collective experience of the Offaly Libraries team and making use of all our resources to find you the answer and to help you get the most from your library service.

You might want to know how to access e-books, e-magazines or online newspapers. You might have forgotten your library PIN, you may have a local studies query or wonder what online activities we are planning. Whatever library related query you may have, askthelibrarian@offalycoco.ie will aim to answer it.

“Ask the Librarian” can help you to follow Hermione Granger’s philosophy of “when in doubt go to the library” . With askthelibrarian@offalycoco.ie the library can become part of your toolkit for navigating the virtual world of information. As author Neil Gaiman said, “Google can bring you back 100,000 answers. A librarian can bring you back the right one”.

We look forward to hearing from you.
