Offaly Libraries Comic Con 2024 hits Tullamore Library on Saturday 14th September
Offaly Libraries are delighted to announce our fifth , award winning, Offaly Libraries Comic Con, in Tullamore Library on Saturday 14th September 2024
This fun and free family friendly event has become a staple in Offaly’s library calendar since 2019. Doors open at 10am and an action packed day is planned.
This year will see our largest ever number of Vendors and Artists as well as Art workshops and a Table Top Games Area. Children can enjoy the LEGO Zone with LEGO Freeplay, Master builder competition , LEGO Exhibition and our Crafty Table .
For the first time at Offaly Libraries Comic Con we will have Gaming Vans where all tastes will be catered for.
The winner of our Design a Library Super Hero Comic Book Cover will be announced on the day. This year we are thrilled to have MARVEL artist Triona Farrell be our guest Judge and also provide us with a unique hand drawn illustration as a prize.
Prizes for all ages are up for grabs in the annual cosplay competition. Try your hand at VEX Robotics and our VR Headsets throughout the day. There are loads to keep everyone entertained until 4pm.

CALLING ALL ARTISTS & COMIC BOOK FANS!
Offaly Libraries are proud to announce our Library Superhero Comicbook Cover Competition for Offaly Libraries Comic Con 2024. This competition is open to second and third level students across Ireland and we are delighted to have Marvel artist Triona Farrell on board as a guest judge!
Our first-place winner will receive a custom hand drawn illustration by Triona, who has worked on major publications such as Ms.Marvel, Doctor Strange, Avengers Forever & Scarlet Witch, just to name a few!

Offaly Libraries Comic Con is back – September 2024!

This year’s Offaly Libraries Comic Con beams into Tullamore Library on Saturday, 14th September, between 10:00am- 4:00pm with a galaxy full of star attractions for lovers of pop culture!
Established in 2019, this will be the 5th instalment of what has become a highlight of Offaly Libraries’ events calendar. Comics and graphic novels, sci fi & fantasy, movies, novels, magic, imagination and fun will be the order of the day as watchers and readers, artists, cosplayers, gamers and vendors come out in force to enjoy competitions, panels, workshops, demonstrations and stall areas, with fun for all the family.
With four amazing Comic Cons already behind us, we can look back on some fantastic memories (click here to see our gallery), but the story goes on and Chapter 5 is only beginning with lots to look forward to at Offaly Libraries Comic Con 2024!
